Hello there! I am Yolanda Juarez

I am an Instructional Designer and Learning Experience Designer who currently calls Japan home.

With a rich background spanning over a decade as an ESL Instructor, my journey has evolved into an exciting fusion of education, technology, and innovation.

During my time as an ESL Instructor, I experienced a transformative shift in my perspective.

I realized that my passion extended beyond just sharing information; I found myself deeply engrossed in crafting e-learning experiences that are both captivating and effective. This revelation steered me towards embracing a new path—becoming a learning designer—a role where I've truly discovered my purpose.

My time in education also made me aware of the diversity that exists among learners. 

Observing the challenges that individuals from various backgrounds face has not only ignited my passion for education but has also fueled my drive to create impactful learning experiences. My dedication is firmly rooted in enriching the educational journey for people from every corner of life. I strongly believe that learning must be inclusive and flexible, catering to the unique needs and backgrounds of each individual. This unwavering commitment propels me to craft educational solutions that bridge gaps and foster growth for every learner.

A current and significant milestone in my journey was obtaining a Master of Science in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology. 

This advanced education not only refined my skills but also equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricate dynamics between learning, design, and technology. It's a perfect complement to my practical teaching background, enabling me to seamlessly merge the art of instruction with the science of educational technology.

My approach is deeply rooted in empathy and adaptability.

I immerse myself in understanding the unique needs of learners and then curate educational solutions that align with their individual styles and preferences. By collaborating with experts, conducting thorough research, and drawing from solid pedagogical principles, I ensure that the learning experiences I design are not only engaging but also meaningful and effective. My aim is to not only produce content but to infuse creativity, interactivity, and an element of enjoyment into every facet of my work.

Beyond work, 

I find joy in continuous learning and exploration, from researching new topics to indulging my love for travel, experimenting with various cuisines, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with my dog, Penny.
